Work Session Discussion:
Considering the readiness of the current version of the Comprehensive Plan to be released to the public for review and comment at the hearings that will be scheduled in the weeks and months ahead. Please note, this will be a discussion among the town board members, attorneys, consultants and leadership of the Comprehensive Plan and Open Space/Affordable Housing Committees. 

Suspend Discussion and Move to Regular Workshop Agenda: 6:45PM

Announcements: 

The Duchess County Department of Public Works has begun a bridge rehabilitation project on Mill Road (north of Cove Road) that will be completed by the fall. The bridge will be closed to traffic during that time and a detour route will be in place. Any questions about the project may be directed to the County Department of Public Works at 486-2925.

Town Hall, the Highway Department and the Transfer Station will all be closed Monday, September 3, in observance of Labor Day. The town pool will be open for the last day of the season. (Where has the summer gone??)

This year's Community Development Block Grant applications are now available in the Town Clerk's office.  Completed applications must be submitted to the County by October 5, 2007.

Old Business: 

1. Status report on discussions with the State Department of Transportation regarding construction of a park 'n ride lot on Rt. 199 near the 9G intersection.
2. Considering request from Morris Associates to authorize the return of all Bid Bonds received from companies that submitted bids in the Vanderburgh Cove Sewage Treatment System Replacement project. 

New Business:

1. Considering plan from the Highway Department to make safety improvements to Mt. Rutsen Road.
2. Approval of the 2007 284 Agreement between the Highway Superintendent and the Town Board. 

Proposed Actions: 

1. Accepting the resignation of Scott Newkirk as MEO at the highway department, due to relocation to Florida.. 
2. Renewal of the annual agreement between the Town and County for snow and ice control for the 2007-2208 season.
3. Approving the appointment of David Miller to the Thompson-Mazzarella Park Committee.
4. Approving the appointment of Beverly Sloan to the Committee on the Aging.
5. Approving regular check disbursement list.
6. Approving capital project check disbursement list.
7. Approving minutes of July 23 and August 8
