Step into "Christmas Past" at Wilderstein Thanksgiving weekend through December
Come see the Wilderstein Historic Site, Rhinebeck’s Victorian masterpiece, decorated for the holiday season! Self-guided tours of the Wilderstein Mansion will occur from Thanksgiving weekend through the end of December. Wilderstein is a storied estate where presidents, statesmen, and royalty came to tea. It has an authentic patina and quirky character alive with the energy and passions of the Suckleys, a family rooted in the American aristocracy. Three generations of the Suckley family called Wilderstein their home for nearly 150 years. The last person to live at Wilderstein was Margaret (Daisy), whose extraordinarily close relationship with Franklin Delano Roosevelt has been well-chronicled and the subject of much speculation.
A visit to Wilderstein is the perfect outing for houseguests with cabin fever! The Wilderstein Mansion will be open for tours from 1 to 4 PM on Thanksgiving weekend (November 24, 25 & 26) as well as December weekends (December 2 & 3, 9 & 10, 16 & 17, 23). For more information, call 845-876-4818.
