WKZE (98.1 FM) will launch its Help Haiti concert series with a benefit for earthquake victims at the Rhinecliff Hotel Monday night.

The Women of Note Concert to Benefit Family of Jerrice Baptiste is set to start at 6 p.m. and will feature performances by Bar Scott, Mary Courtney, Abby Lappen, Rebecca Martin, Kelleigh McKenzie and Gail Ann Dorsey. Additional performers will be announced.

Baptiste is a Haitian native, Kingston resident and host of "Women of Note," a program featuring female musicians, on WKZE each Sunday, from 5-7 p.m.

Baptiste, who lived in Haiti until she was 13, has many relatives living in the Caribbean nation, which was struck by a colossal 7.0-magnitude earthquake Jan. 12.

Baptiste and relatives living in Brooklyn and throughout the U.S. and Canada worked desperately to contact family members in Haiti, learning that some had survived and some had died during teh days that followed the tragedy.

The Rhinecliff Hotel is at 4 Grinnell St., Rhinecliff. Organizers are suggesting a donation of $10, though nobody will be refused entry.
