This Monday, September 17, beginning at 5 PM, the town board will meet in public session to discuss the draft zoning modifications with its consultants and volunteer leadership.  The public is welcome but public comment is suspended during these sessions in order to complete the work of the town board in preparing the various documents -- zoning code in this case -- for public distribution and to launch the SEQRA and public review and comment phase of this process.

Start: 7:00 pm

On Tuesday, September 18, at 7 PM, the school board, village board and town board will meet together at the Rhinebeck Middle School cafeteria to continue efforts at building consensus on proposals to further the objectives of increased cooperation and collaboration among the three municipalities.

Agenda

  • Welcome
  • Review of the original concerns and the results of the planning process thus far
  • The current status of cooperation among the village, town and schools
  • Considering proposals advanced by each of the boards
  • Public questions and comments

note: the discussion will be facilitated by Bob Grems, General Manager of the Dutchess County Fair

note: It is anticipated that this unique meeting will enable the seventeen members of the three boards to consider proposals that were previously discussed by one or more of the boards separately. It is understood that no specific proposal to increase cooperation and collaboration will be implemented unless and until all three boards approve it.
